COVID-19 Precautions

Our domiciliary care agency provides essential services to vulnerable individuals, including those who may be at higher risk for COVID-19. To ensure the safety of both clients and caregivers, we have implemented thorough COVID-19 precautions.

Screening and Testing:
  • We screen both clients and caregivers for symptoms of COVID-19 before each visit.

  • We strongly encourage clients and caregivers to get tested regularly, especially if they have been in contact with a confirmed case.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
  • We provide our caregivers with appropriate PPE, including masks, gloves, gowns, and face shields.

  • We ensure proper training on how to use PPE correctly to minimize the risk of transmission.

Hand Hygiene:
  • We encourage our caregivers to practice thorough hand hygiene, including regular hand washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

Social Distancing:
  • We minimize close contact between caregivers and clients when it's not essential to the care provided.

  • We limit the number of caregivers visiting a client to reduce potential exposure.

Cleaning and Disinfection:
  • We ensure that our caregivers follow proper cleaning and disinfection protocols for frequently touched surfaces and shared equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment.

Education:
  • We educate our clients and caregivers about COVID-19 prevention measures and symptoms to promote awareness and safety.

  • We provide information about local resources for testing and vaccination to ensure access to necessary services.

Vaccination:
  • We strongly encourage both our caregivers and clients to get vaccinated when they are eligible, as vaccination is a key preventive measure.

Isolation and Quarantine:
  • We instruct our caregivers and clients on the procedures to follow if they exhibit symptoms or are exposed to COVID-19, including isolation and quarantine guidelines.

Telehealth Services:
  • We utilize telehealth services when appropriate to reduce in-person visits and lower the risk of exposure, ensuring that care and support continue while minimizing risks.

Communication:
  • We maintain open communication with caregivers and clients regarding COVID-19 updates and safety measures to address any concerns or provide updates promptly.

  • We have a clear protocol for reporting symptoms, positive test results, or exposure to enable timely response and necessary actions.

Emergency Response Plan:
  • We have developed a comprehensive emergency response plan to handle emergencies related to COVID-19, including potential outbreaks, ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients and caregivers.

Regulatory Compliance:
  • We stay updated on local, state, and federal regulations related to COVID-19 in healthcare and home care settings to ensure full compliance.

  • We maintain thorough records of COVID-19 precautions, testing, and vaccinations for both clients and caregivers to track and monitor safety measures.
